Why we're doing this

We both feel strongly that things we buy shouldn’t be cheap at the expense of someone else being exploited or endangered, which is often the case with clothing.  We also believe in having fewer clothes of higher quality, that will last, rather than lots of flimsy throwaway stuff.

Our suppliers work hard to ensure high quality and it shows.  Farmers and producers take pride in what they do and it’s not worth making throwaway stuff, when you’re using high quality materials, produced with effort and dedication.

That’s why we started arkadash, to bring together some of the fantastic ethical products that are available and offer people an alternative to high street shops.

Plus it’s a lot of fun to run your own business (and a bit painful, too, some of the time!)
