Directions

Directions to the Leeds shop at 33 North Lane, Headingley, LS6 3HW, t. 0113-275 9674

BUS from Leeds city centre:
Get a bus no. 18/18a from town. The bus goes up Cardigan Rd to a t-junction with a big church building straight ahead. When the bus turns left, get off at the first stop, next to the cricket ground, and walk back across the traffic lights to North Lane where all the shops are. Ours is the second shop on the right. It's about £1.50 single or £2.40 for a day ticket. The ride should take about 20 minutes.

TRAIN
You can get the train to Headingley station, then walk up the hill for about 10 minutes, passing the cricket ground on your right. Carry straight on and the shop is just past the traffic lights, on the right.

BY CAR
Get your map out! There are too many possible directions to come from, to explain them all! There is some on-street parking outside the shop or in the side streets.

Directions to the Manchester shop at 103 Manchester Rd, Chorlton, M21 9GA, t. 0161 881 9500

BUS
From Manchester City Centre, take a bus 86 from Piccadilly Gardens bus station or from Oxford Rd, (just opposite the train station). It takes about 20 minutes and you want to ask for the stop just after Chorlton Swimming Baths.

You go over a little railway bridge, the baths are on your left, then the Unicorn Grocery (full of lovely vegan and organic goodies) and then there's a bus stop just beyond. Walk back to Unicorn and we're directly across the pedestrian crossing.

It's about £1.90 single or £2.90 for a return/day ticket.

TRAM
Having been directing you all to Stretford, I\’ve just discovered that it\’s much quicker to get off at Old Trafford. Come out onto the street, turn right to the end of the road, turn right again, then take the left down Great Stone Rd all the way to the end and Chorlton swimming baths. Turn right and we\’re the 4th shop along. It\’s about a 15 minute walk.

Of course if you want the scenic route you can still get off at Stretford and walk through the park.

BIKE
Chorlton is signed from Stretford and Fallowfield, there are various cycle routes I've not discovered yet but check out www.sustrans.org.uk for routes, or follow directions as for public transport or car.

BY CAR
If you know south Manchester, you'll probably know Barlow Moor Rd and Wilbraham Rd, which cross in the centre of Chorlton. We're about 400 yards north of that junction, on the left, just past the Barbakan deli. (Barlow Moor Rd becomes Manchester Rd). There are parking bays outside the shop, or on-street parking in the sidestreets.

If you don't know south Manchester, get out you're A-Z! and plan your route according to which bits of Manchester you know. If you don't know any of it, resort to www.multimap.com or some other handy website for directions.

ROUTES FROM THE M60
From the south or east:

Come off the M60 at Junction 5 and follow the long slip road all the way round to the right, onto the A5103 Princes Rd. At the next major junction turn left onto the A5145 Barlow Moor Rd, signed for Chorlton. Follow this road all the way into Chorlton, (it becomes the B5217 on the way). At the centre of Chorlton you cross the Wilbraham Rd (with banks and shops on all sides. The road becomes Manchester Rd and we're about 400 yards up on the left. There are parking bays outside the shop, or on-street parking in the sidestreets.

From the north or west:
Come off the M60 at Junction 7
Come off the slip road in the inside lane and bear round to the left onto the A56 Chester Rd. There is a kind of roundabout about 200 yards up, bear right here, staying on the A56.

At the next major junction by the Stretford Mall, turn right onto the A5145 Edge Lane. After about a mile take the left fork onto the A6010 Wilbraham Rd. At the next junction (in the middle of the shops), turn left onto the B5217, signed Barlow Moor Rd (which becomes Manchester Rd). We're about 400 yards up on the left. There are parking bays outside the shop, or on-street parking in the sidestreets.
